DESCRIPTION:
Silas Hoadley, Plymouth Conn., tall clock, 30 hour, time and strike, weight driven wooden works movement in an inlaid cherry case with fluted columns flanking hood and trunk doors and a painted wooden dial
CONDITION:
the case has an older refinish with several crack repairs to cove molded crest on simple round-top hood which may have originally had a more decorative top with frets and finials. The dial has nice raised gilt work and an eagle in the lunette, but has some loss near the eagle and a small chip in lower left corner.
